Change your Body Not the World was inspired by the way Women are viewed in society often as objects. Their value and worth is determined by the way in which their body looks. This is because a pressure to succumb to whatever expectation society deems acceptable is instilled the moment a girl starts becoming a woman. Instead of creating an environment where women’s minds hold more importance than their looks, they are taught from an early age that they must conform to the tight knit standards of what is considered beautiful in order to be respected and avoid the hate and judgement that is somehow always exhibited but never invited. Smith represents the hard reality of the effects these pressures have on the body. This subtle fade has become a new obsession.
